 Looking to carry out your fit testing in-house? We offer a range of  courses tailored to give you all the necessary skills

The HSE have detailed, in the Information Document 282/28, the minimum knowledge, skills and experience that a competent fit tester must have. Additionally, in 2009 a new Accreditation Scheme called ‘Fit2Fit‘ was introduced to independently certify fit testers. Our courses cover all the requirements of the HSE 282/28 Document and have been updated to incorporate the Fit2Fit Accreditation criteria.

‘Competent Person’ Training Courses

All our trainers are Fit2Fit Accredited, NEBOSH qualified and are practicing Fit Testers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience across a wide range of industries. 

Our courses can be carried out ‘in-house’ at your company premises or you can attend one of our ‘Open Courses’ at our Midlands Training Centre.

Qualitative Testing (Bitrex or Saccharin)

An intensive 1 day course for up to 6 people. Provides the attendee with the necessary background knowledge about Qualitative fit testing and the practical skills to ensure they become an effective fit tester.  Covers the qualitative testing of disposable and reusable half masks.

Quantitative Fit Testing Training (TSI Portacount)

An intensive 1 day course aimed at providing the attendee not just with the necessary background knowledge about Quantitative fit testing but also the practical skills to ensure they are an effective fit tester.  Covers quantitative testing of disposable,  reusable half masks and full face masks.

Refresher Training Courses

A half day course to update and refresh the skills and knowledge of fit testers – both Qualitative and Quantitative. We will update you on changes to legislation and best practice and have a pratical session to pass on any new skills and ensure fit testers are still working in accordance with legislation and industry guidelines. Annual refresher training is recommended but should ideally be done every 3 years as a minimum.
