RPFI has been providing industry with face fit testing services even before the requirement to fit RPE became a widespread legal requirement.

We have over 12 years experience in health and safety in the work place, focusing on respiratory protection.

Utilising this we work closely with key industry bodies (HSE, BSIF, PSMA) both during the development stages of the UK Fit Testing legislation, consulting on such issues as the content of the HSE Information Document 282/28, and also the Fit 2 Fit Accreditation Scheme.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality fit testing services to businesses, ensuring confidentiality, discretion and a professional service at all times. Additionally we strive to keep our running costs down so that we can offer our services at reasonable and competitive prices.

Our success at this has been evidenced by our clients who come back to us year on year from small local companies to large multi-site multi-national companies. For each client we offer an individual service as no two business operate the same and every client has different requirements. Our services range from testing just one or two employees once every 2 years to managing a fit testing programme for multi-site corporations covering such tasks as directly notifying employees, selecting  RPE and arranging testing schedules.

In accordance with our mission to provide a high quality service we presented to the Personal Safety Manufacturers Association (PSMA) in London in 2003. We highlighted concerns regarding the lack of regulation of fit test services providers and there being no means for employers to gauge if the provider was competent to carry out testing or not.  Now in response to these concerns the BSIF and HSE have launched a new scheme called Fit 2 Fit. It is a voluntary scheme for fit test providers to become accredited through passing a written and practical assessment. This will give businesses the confidence that thier fit testing is being done by a suitably qualified person.

RPFI are proud to be amoungst the first in the industry to offer Accredited Fit Testing in the UK.
